Amendment of the national parks act of 1976. There is a change of name of the board from “National Parks Board” to “South African National Parks”. The amendment also regulates the powers of the board, addresses forfeiture issues, and allows for cooperation with individuals and organizations to aid the board’s course.

An amendment of the statutory measures for records and returns as it pertains to maize and wheaten products

The measure is subject to the marketing of agricultural products act of 1996. The statutory measure applies to peaches and nectarines destined for export, import, or domestic fresh consumption. It seeks to ensure availability of market information to all stakeholders in the industry. The measure will be administered and implemented by HORTGRO services, a company established in terms with the companies act, and operates within the purview of the Dried Fruit Technical Services (DFTS).

The regulations provide rules for the sale of wheat products in South Africa. It spells out the restrictions and guidelines for the sale of wheat products in the country. It also outlines the different classes of wheat products and the standards for each of them.

An amendment to the “fees payable” section of the genetically modified organisms act of 1997.

The statutory measure amends: the statutory measure for records and returns in respect of maize and wheat imports and exports; the statutory measure for records and returns in respect of maize, oilseeds, sorghum and winter cereal; the statutory measure for registration of certain persons in respect of maize, oilseeds, sorghum and winter cereal.

The regulations places a number of restrictions on the sale of poultry meat in the country. It also classifies and grades poultry meats, prescribes standards for grades and portions, requirements for packing and packing containers, as well as specification of indications for classes, grades, and packers.

The amended regulations operate under the plant breeders’ rights act of 1976. The table detailing kinds of plants and period of rights is substituted.

The act provides for the protection of the sea from pollution by oil and other harmful substances discharged from ships; it gives effect to the international convention for the prevention of pollution from ships of 1973, as amended by the Protocol of 1978. The provisions of marine pollution act applies to; South African ships; other ships within the country, its territorial waters, and its economic zone.

The statutory measure aims to compel breeders of day old female parent broiler chickens and suppliers of packaging material, as well as people who act on their behalf, to keep records and report returns to the levy administrator. The measure hopes to create a level playing field for players and stakeholders by ensuring access to accurate and timely information to guide their decision process. The measure applies to day old female parent broiler chickens bred for commercial use, and eggs for commercial purposes.

The statutory measure aims to compel the parties set out in the schedules to keep records and report returns to SAMAC, which is tasked with implementing the measure. The measure hopes to create a level playing field for players and stakeholders by ensuring access to accurate and timely information to guide their decision process. The measure applies to macadamias, both locally produced and imported, as well as the macadamia tree.

This serves as an amendment to the sea fishery act of 1988. Among other provisions, it allows for the payment of levies to the Republic of Namibia, alters penalties for certain offences, regulates the use of foreign vessels in the fishing zone, and creates an offence in respect of the transfer of fish outside a fishing harbour from a foreign vessel to any other vessel.

The regulations prohibit the sale of onions in certain areas of South Africa, as imposed under the sections of the marketing act of 1968. It spells out the powers of inspection granted to an inspector, and the appeal procedure.

The cooperatives act makes provisions for the formation and registration of cooperative societies, establishment of a cooperatives advisory board, and guidelines for winding up of cooperatives. It recognizes the importance of cooperative values on members of the society as it relates to; self-help, self-responsibility, self-reliance, and self-sustenance.

The minister’s notice on the exclusion of farm feeds from operations of the provisions of the fertilizers, farm feeds, agricultural remedies, and stock remedies act of 1947

“The notice imposes levies payable on fish and fish products in accordance with section 29 of the Sea Fishery Act of 1988. The levies concern the amount of fish caught by holders of commercial fishing rights, traditional fishing rights or the right to undertake the commercial harvesting of seaweed. The notice also defines the method of payment of the levies imposed under this notice”.

The notice amends the control measures of the agricultural pests act. It substitutes table 10 of the control measures with a fees payable table.

The EIMP follows from the national environmental management act. The act requires all organs with the responsibility of managing the environment to prepare environmental implementation plans. The EIMP lays out ways by which the department of environmental affairs coordinates and harmonises the environmental policies, plans, programmes and decisions of the department in its exercise of its functions, to avoid ineffective resource allocation and use.

The policy is meant to be read along with the 2013 general policy on the allocation and management of fishing rights, the marine living resources act (MLRA), and other relevant sector policies. The policy sets out the criteria guiding evaluation, allocation and management of fishing rights in the horse mackerel fishery; it is to serve as a guide for a delegated official. It explicitly states that: “Only persons issued with permits in terms of the MLRA may harvest horse mackerel, transport horse mackerel catch from a landing site to the permitted fish processing establishment (FPE) and export horse mackerel catch and products.
