An amendment to section 18(1)(f) of the animal identification act of 2002. There is a substitution of “fees payable” table schedule.

The statutory measure encourages the parties set out in the schedules to keep records and report returns to the South African Table Grape Industry (SATI), which is tasked with implementing the measure. The relief scheme pushes to promote the repair of flood damage in flood disaster areas, and to regulate subsidy payment from parliament appropriations. It states the areas to be catered for by the scheme, basis for determination of subsidies, requirements for assistance, lodging of applications, and consent to repair of damages, among other schedules.

Amendment of regulations published in the marine living resources act of 1998

An amendment to the expropriation act of 1975 relating to the tariffs of court, and other fees in connection with the proceedings before compensation courts.

The regulations are under section 26 of the environment conservation act of 1989. They concern approval of undertaking of activities in the Outeniqua sensitive coastal area. The activities include: disturbance of vegetation, dredging, dune stabilisation and earthworks.

The statutory measure sets out to provide developmental support to the South African Pecan Nut Producers Association NPS (SAPPA) in the form of funds for research projects, market information, trade and market access, and information technology transfer. The measure hopes to create a level playing field for players and stakeholders by ensuring access to accurate and timely information to guide their decision process. The measure applies to pecan nuts and pecan nut products, both locally produced and imported into South Africa.

The European Union and South Africa enters into the contractual agreement to facilitate and promote trade in spirits produced in South Africa and the Union. The agreement applies to spirits, in the form and type specified by the contracting parties.

The regulations operate under the electricity regulation act of 2006. It stipulates that: “any licensee who requires the State to expropriate land on its behalf, or any right in,
over, or in respect of land as enshrined in the electricity regulation act, must comply with subregulations (3) and (4), and apply in writing to the Minister of Public Works to do so in the manner prescribed in subregulations (2) and (6)”.

An amendment to the 2008 national environmental management: integrated coastal management act. It clarifies coastal public properties and ownership of structures on the properties, addresses provisions on reclamation, removes power of exclusion of areas from coastal public property, limits renewal of dumping permits, and replaces coastal concessions and leases with coastal use permits, among other alterations.

The amended regulations operate under the plant breeders’ rights act of 1976. The table detailing fees payable with respect to plant breeders’ rights: 1 April 2015, is substituted.

The regulations addresses issues related to sterilizing plants in South Africa, which includes; registrations, appeals, strelization processes, invoices for by-products, hygiene requirements, and inspections. It is stated that an application shall be made by persons residing in the country or legal persons with registered office in the country; must be accompanied by application fee and a veterinary inspection certificate; and must be accompanied by the facilities plan and order of operations.

The amendment takes the form of redefinitions for textual correctness, and alterations of annexes to the regulations

This involves deletion of certain species from the “protected Species” category of the list. It subsequently outlines the full list of categories.

Agricultural remedy is defined as chemical substances, biological remedies, mixtures, or combination of any such substance or remedy used for the destruction, control, repelling or prevention of any undesired virus, bacterium, alga, nematode, fungus, insect, plant, vertebrate, or invertebrate. The remedy is also used as plantgrowth regulator, defoliant, desiccant or legume inoculant. The registration procedure is discussed in detail.

The regulations are subject to the agricultural product standards of 1990. They specify classes and standards, parking and marking requirements guiding the sale of potatoes in South Africa. It specifically states that potatoes shall not be sold except standards outlined in these regulations are met. The regulations are baseline standards for potatoes sold in South Africa, and not potatoes for seed production purposes.

The Regulations prohibit the manufacture, importation, exportation and sale of polycarbonate infant feeding bottles containing Bisphenol A. Bisphenol A is an industrial chemical that is mainly used in combination with other chemicals to manufacture plastics and resins.
