The minister declares that the animals specified in section 2(a) of the animal identification act of 2002 are; cattle, sheep, goats, and pigs.

The notice amends the restitution of land rights act of 1994. It empowers the minister of land affairs to purchase, acquire, or expropriate lands to claimant for purpose of restitution.

“The regulations, among other things: set out institutional requirements for establishment of municipal planning tribunals; provide for monitoring of tribunals; provide with respect to submission of land development and land use applications and decisions relating to such applications by municipalities”. Municipalities are allowed to create a joint municipal planning tribunal by agreement.

The notice inserts regulations 21K, 21L, 21M, and the table on “exit level outcomes” into the Regulations.

The norms and standards determine the requirements for the disposal of waste to landfill as enshrined in the waste classification and management regulations of 2013.

The notice concerns hygienic requirements for the handling, transport and storage of food. The regulations outline requirements for all points in the food handling and packaging processes. It is stated that a person may not handle food or allow food to be handled in manners contrary to specifications of these regulations.

Modification of the customary law of succession to provide for the devolution of properties. The reform is in terms of the interstate succession act of 1987. The customary law is the customs and practices observed among the indigenous people of South Africa.

The regulations are amended by the substitution for table 1, which captures the “fees payable” schedule.

The statutory measure applies to cotton. It pushes to compel stakeholders of cotton to register with cotton South Africa. It sees registration as a means to ensure availability of information to all players in the industry, to enable them make informed decisions. The measure lists out the parties mandated to register, and the registration process. Cotton South Africa is appointed as an administrator of the statutory measure.

The Regulations pushes to prohibit fishing during the night on the estuary of the Breede River in order to provide further protection of linefish species. The penalties and offences are highlighted.

The regulations implement the provisions of the meat safety act of 2000. It lays out rules of slaughter, handling, hygiene, packing, inspection, transport and storage, import and export, as well as registration of players, among others.

An amendment to the rules of the national council of societies for the prevention of cruelty to animals; in relation to payments, sterilization of pets, and request for opinions and advice for permits.

The statutory measure aims to compel producers and exporters of the fruits, as well as people who act on their behalf, to keep records and report returns to the Agri-hub. Agri-hub serves as the administrator of the measure. The measure hopes to create a level playing field for players and stakeholders. Persons shall have options to register as producers, exporters, importers, retailers, processors, and municpal markets.

An amendment to Schedule 2 of the maritime zones act of 1994 by substituting the grouped co-ordinates outlined in the act.

This represents an implementation of provisions in the animal identification act of 2002. The regulations include: the registration of identification marks, application for alternative methods of identification, transfer of identification marks, registration of marking operators, impounding of animals and marking of animals.

The statutory measure sets out to enforce registration of specified parties with the levy administrator. The measure hopes to create a level playing field for players and stakeholders by ensuring access to accurate and timely information to guide their decision process. The measure applies to table grapes intended for export. The levy administrator shall appoint a third party to assist with the registration process. The third party shall act on behalf of the South African Poultry Association.

The measure is administered by the HORTGRO services as a means to fund export market development and consumer education campaigns for the stone fruit. It seeks to ensure availability of information to all stakeholders in the industry, to guide informed decisions. The measure applies to stone fruits destined for export, and on peaches, nectarines, and prunes for domestic fresh consumption.

The measure is administered by the levy administrator as a means to fund identified crucial functions for a sustained development of the sector. The Auditor-General is tasked with auditing the statutory measures. The beneficiaries of the levy will be determined by the red meat industry forum in accordance with their plans. The measure applies to designated animals; hides and skins; red meat and red meat products from designated animals; red meat and red meat products imported into the Republic of South Africa; processed red meat and pork; and designated animals exported live from the country.

The notice is subject to the marketing of agricultural products act of 1996. The statutory measure compels importers, exporters, packers, and processors (not excluding people who act in their capacities) of dried fruits to register with the Dried Fruit Technical Services (DFTS). It seeks to ensure availability of market information to all stakeholders to ensure knowledge based decisions. The measure applies to apply to all dried deciduous fruit.
