The regulations and its amendments are under the plant improvement act of 1976. The amendment substitutes the fees payable table.

An amendment of the rules relating to the practising of veterinary preofessions. Rule 2 is amended; it relates to the diagnosis, treatment, and advice on animal diseases, restraint of animals, and operations carried out on animals.

The act amends the deeds registries act of 1937, the KwaZulu land affairs act of 1992, land and assistance act of 1993, and the land rights act of 1994. It provides for the deeds registries regulations board, to make regulations regarding the manner in which the payment of the fees of office may be enforced.

A specification of services that pertain especially to para-veterinary profession of veterinary nurse, course of conduct, and dress code.

There is a substitution of the “fees payable” table in the schedules of the animal improvement act of 1998.

These Regulations impose a levy on players in the potato industry for purposes of funding: efforts to enhance empowerment and development of industry players; consumer protection measures; and research and development. The levies collected under this measure will be paid into the Potato Industry Development Trust.

The regulations are subject to the agricultural product standards of 1990. They specify classes and standards, parking and marking requirements guiding the sale of litchis in South Africa. It specifically states that litchis shall not be sold except standards outlined in these regulations are met; imported litchis may be exempted provided they meet stated guidelines too. The regulations are baseline standards for litchis sold in South Africa, and not potatoes for seed production purposes.

The notice declares the Stillbaai marine protected area under Section 43 of the marine living resources act of 1998.

The amendment relates to redefinitions; to eliminate ambiguities. It is stated that container labels must contain one of the health warnings listed, in any of the South African official languages.

The act amends the children’s act of 2005. It inserts definitions for clarity; it provides for partial care of children; it provides for early childhood development; it makes further provision regarding the protection of children; it provided for prevention and early intervention; it provides for children in alternative care; and it provides for foster care, among other key provisions.

The prohibition is subject to the fertilizers, farm feeds, agricultural remedies and stock remedies act of 1947. There is a prohibition of the acquisition and use of; 2,4-D (dimethylamine salt); 2,4-DB (sodium salt); MCPA (dimethylamine salt); dicamba (dimethylamine salt); and any other salts or esters of 2,4-D (except APM salt) in the areas defined in the Schedule.

The amended regulations operate under the plant breeders’ rights act of 1976. The table detailing fees payable with respect to plant breeders’ rights: 1 April 2015, is substituted.

The regulations concern the authorization of activities that may have a detrimental effect on the environment in respect of the Pennington Sensitive Coastal Area and Umtamvuna Sensitive Coastal Area. It outlines the details of the application process for authorization.

The rules apply to the ports of Richards Bay, Durban, East London, Ngqura, Port Elizabeth, Mossel Bay, cape Town, Saldanha Bay and Port Nolloth and to any other port that has been determined to be a port in terms of the relevant sections of the national ports act of 2005. The rules aim to ensure proper management and control of these ports.

The control measures contain explicit prohibitions relating to; the occurrence and removal of certain pathogens and insects; keeping, planting, or cultivation of certain plants; removal of certain plants; keeping, planting, or cultivation of certain controlled goods; and packing or repacking of fruits.

The regulations are directed towards the protection and conservation of threatened species, including marine plants and animals; as well as prohibiting specific restricted activities involving listed threatened or protected species. The regulations operate under the biodiversity act of 2004.

The amendment involves the insertion of regulations around the required form that reflects a veterinary professional’s continued professional development (CPD) activities for the prevailing three-year cycle.

This contains alterations to the sectional titles act of 1986 in relation to sectional mortgage bonds, forms for certificates, and other scheduled documents specified under the act.

The norms and standards apply to species of rhinoceros that are listed as threatened or protected in biodiversity act; they also apply, whether a hunt takes place on privately owned land or state land. The schedules under the norms and standards are to be read alongside the provisions contained in the thereatened or protected species (TOPS) regulations.

It is expressly stated that: “No person shall import wood packaging material which do not comply with the measures of the FAO, IPPC — ISPM No 15 guidelines for regulating wood packaging material in International Trade”.
