The strategy adopts the principles of the water resources management policy, some of which are; Water is a natural endowment commonly owned by all the people of Ethiopia; As far as conditions permit, every Ethiopian citizen shall have access to sufficient water of
acceptable quality to satisfy basic human needs; In order to significantly contribute to development, water will be recognised both as an economic and social good.

“The food security programme (FSP) is designed to help chronically food insecure households reach a level of food security necessary for an active and healthy life. the programme is premised on three components: resettlement, productive safety nets, and other food security interventions. result of that component’s package of interventions. Safety net clients, however, would require the complementary other food security interventions in order for sustainable impact to be achieved”.
