These rules, made under paragraphs 2 and 4 of the second schedule of The Estate Surveyors And Valuers (registration, etc.) act, concerns reference of a case to and proceedings of the Estate Surveyors and Valuers Disciplinary Tribunal. in any case where in pursuance of section 13 (3) of the act the estate surveyors and valuers investigating panel is of the opinion that a prima facie case is made against an estate surveyor and valuer, the panel shall prepare a report of the case and formulate any appropriate charge or charges and forward them to the secretary together with all the documents considered by the panel.

This is an Act to confer sundry powers in relation to certain produce intended for export. The minister for the time being charged with responsibility for external trade may, from time to time, make regulations prescribing grades and standards of quality for any produce intended for export, not being produce for export purchased by the relevant commodity board.

These regulations shall apply to the labelling of food additives sold as such whether by retail or other than by retail, including sales to caterers and food manufacturers. The regulations also apply to food processing aids and any reference to food additives shall include food processing aids.

An Act to make provisions for the registration of veterinary surgeons and for matters connected therewith. It provides for the control of the practice of veterinary and for this and other purposes establishes the Veterinary Council of Nigeria, the Veterinary Surgeons’ disciplinary tribunal and the Veterinary Surgeons investigating panel. The Council, which shall be a body corporate, shall be charged with, among other things: determining qualification requirements for registration as a veterinary surgeon under this Act; securing the establishment and maintenance of a register of persons registered under this Act as veterinary surgeons. The Minister may give directions to the council. The Act also defines penalties for unprofessional conduct.

These rules, made under section 34 of cap. 210, 1958 laws and continued under the veterinary surgeons act, concern the election of members of The Veterinary Council. It emphasizes that no person other than a registered veterinary surgeon shall propose or second a nomination. All voting papers, whether valid or rejected, shall be retained in safe custody by the scrutineers until the council directs their destruction. Any person nominated as a candidate for election who is dissatisfied with the conduct of an election may lodge a complaint in writing with the registrar.

This document provides regulations on sea fisheries. It emphasizes that a prospective owner of a fishing vessel intended for fishing or shrimping in Nigeria’s territorial waters shall first obtain a written assurance that such a vessel would be granted fishing or shrimping licence before arrangement for the purchase of the vessel is concluded. It emphasizes that all property to which a deceased person was entitled for an interest not ceasing on his death shall, on his death and notwithstanding any testamentary disposition thereof, devolve from time to time on the personal representatives of the deceased. Part II is concerned with Executors and Administrators. Where a person appointed executor by a will survives the testator but dies without having taken out probate of the will.

The document provides rules on Veterinary Surgeons Disciplinary Tribunal. This Act is to establish The Surveyors’ Registration Council of Nigeria for the registration of surveyors and to provide extensively for the regulation of the practice of the profession. Some of these functions include the duty of determining who are surveyors for the purposes of this act, determining what standards of knowledge and skill are to be attained by persons seeking to become registered as members of the profession of surveying (in this act referred to as “the profession”) and reviewing those standards, from time to time, as circumstances may require, securing, in accordance with the provisions of this act, the establishment and maintenance of a register of persons entitled to practice the profession and the publication, from time to time, of lists of such persons, regulating and controlling the practice of the profession in all its ramifications, maintaining, in accordance with this act, discipline within the profession and performing the other functions conferred upon The Council by this act.

Regulation 1 focuses on fishing vessel certification. It emphasizes that no person shall use a vessel for fishing or for transportation of fish unless the vessel displays a certificate that has been issued by Fish Inspection as such certifying that the vessel meets the requirements of Schedule I of these regulations. It also provides for Fish unloading handling and holding, Fish establishment and cold room registration, Handling and processing of fish products, Prohibition of certain fish and fishery product, Preservation storage and display for sale, and duties and powers of fish inspectors.

This document provides regulations for restriction on fishing in certain areas, trawling in inshore waters, size of fish of certain species, navigation of a fishing vessel, inscription of name and registration number, and exportation of catch amongst others.

This is an Act to make provisions for the investigation of the assets of any public officer who is alleged to have been engaged in corrupt practices, unjust enrichment of himself or any other person who has abused his office or has in any way breached the code of conduct for public officers contained in the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The part I and part II concern the constitution of assets investigation panels and Federal High Courts respectively. They emphasize that where at any state of a trial a Federal High Court is satisfied that a prima facie case has been made out against a person, the judge of a Federal High Court may by order under his hand and for such time as he may direct or require, prohibit any disposition of property movable or immovable by or on behalf of that person, and whether or not the property is owned or held by that person or by any other person on his behalf, except to such extent and in such manner as may be specified in the order. Part III and IV provide for penalties and supplementary provisions respectively.

This Act repeals the area courts Act, Cap. 477, Laws of the Federal Capital Territory Abuja, 2006 and enacts the Federal Capital Territory area courts Act, 2010.

Regulation 3 of this document provides for mooring of ships and 4-9 concerns loading and discharging cargo. It establishes the national environmental standards and regulations enforcement agency for the effective enforcement of standards, regulations and all national and international agreements, treaties, conventions and protocols on environment to which Nigeria is a signatory.

This document provides for the removal after discharging. It emphasizes that all carbide of calcium discharged at a port from any ship shall be removed without delay to some place of storage outside the port. Carbide of calcium may be stored temporarily in an approved carbide store at a port subject to permission having been obtained from the dock superintendent and space being available in the approved store.
