These rules, made under paragraphs 2 and 4 of the second schedule of The Estate Surveyors And Valuers (registration, etc.) act, concerns reference of a case to and proceedings of the Estate Surveyors and Valuers Disciplinary Tribunal. in any case where in pursuance of section 13 (3) of the act the estate surveyors and valuers investigating panel is of the opinion that a prima facie case is made against an estate surveyor and valuer, the panel shall prepare a report of the case and formulate any appropriate charge or charges and forward them to the secretary together with all the documents considered by the panel.

Veterinary Surgeons Act

An Act to make provisions for the registration of veterinary surgeons and for matters connected therewith. It provides for the control of the practice of veterinary and for this and other purposes establishes the Veterinary Council of Nigeria, the Veterinary Surgeons’ disciplinary tribunal and the Veterinary Surgeons investigating panel. The Council, which shall be a body corporate, shall be charged with, among other things: determining qualification requirements for registration as a veterinary surgeon under this Act; securing the establishment and maintenance of a register of persons registered under this Act as veterinary surgeons. The Minister may give directions to the council. The Act also defines penalties for unprofessional conduct.

The Veterinary Council (Elections) Rules

Recovery Of Public Property (Special Provisions) Act

This is an Act to make provisions for the investigation of the assets of any public officer who is alleged to have been engaged in corrupt practices, unjust enrichment of himself or any other person who has abused his office or has in any way breached the code of conduct for public officers contained in the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The part I and part II concern the constitution of assets investigation panels and Federal High Courts respectively. They emphasize that where at any state of a trial a Federal High Court is satisfied that a prima facie case has been made out against a person, the judge of a Federal High Court may by order under his hand and for such time as he may direct or require, prohibit any disposition of property movable or immovable by or on behalf of that person, and whether or not the property is owned or held by that person or by any other person on his behalf, except to such extent and in such manner as may be specified in the order. Part III and IV provide for penalties and supplementary provisions respectively.
