The policy is designed to meet the reality of the ever-changing socio-economic and politically globalized world. The document is a revised edition of the previous visa policy and part of a wider reform ‘NIS Border Strategy, 2019-2023.’ It supports the attainment of the Economic Recovery and Growth Plan (2017-2020) and adopts Security, Economy and Transparency (SET) as its thrust.

This Act repeals the Prison Act Cap. P29 laws of the Federation of Nigeria, 2004 and enacts the Nigerian Correctional Service Act to address new issues that are not covered under the repealed Act and provide clear rules setting out obligations of the Nigerian Correctional Service and the Rights of inmates.

This Act provides for physical and development planning in Nigeria and for the protection of environment from development. It establishes the Development Control Department and the Urban and Regional Planning Tribunal. It also requires, for the purposes of the initiation, preparation and implementation of the National physical development plans, the Federal, State and Local governments to establish and maintain respectively: (a) a National Urban and Regional Planning Commission; (b) a state urban and regional planning board in each of the states of the Federation and the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja; and (c) a local planning authority in each of the local government areas and the area councils of the Federation.

This is an Act to regulate the profession of animal science and to make provisions for the establishment, functions and administration of the Nigerian Institute of Animal Science; and for related matters. It establishes The Institute and Incorporation of Animal Science. It also defines the functions of institute to prescribe and regulate the standards of academic qualification and practical skills to be attained by persons seeking to become registered as members, associates or fellows of the institute, establish and maintain a register of animal science practitioners under this act according to their various ranks and to regulate the prerogatives and privileges pertaining to those ranks, and advise and encourage the enactment and the enforcement of laws that will guarantee efficient production and consistent supply of high quality animal proteins to Nigerians.

This is an Act to provide for the control of the sale and distribution of fertilizer and for matters connected therewith. This Act prohibits the dealing in, selling or distributing of fertilizer in any place not designated for the purpose of sale or distribution of fertilizer without the permission of the appropriate authority (as defined). The appropriate authority may declare any place to be an approved selling or distributing point for the purpose of selling or distributing fertilizer. Notwithstanding anything contained in any enactment, no person shall export fertilizer out of Nigeria. The Act defines other offences in respect of the handling of fertilizers, prescribes penalties for such offences and provides for measures of enforcement.

This is an Act to make the planting, cultivation, importation, etc. of Indian Hemp an offence and to make provisions for other related matters. It prohibits the cultivation, importation, exportation and sale of Indian Hemp. The Act also provides for (corporal) punishment of offences committed under this Act.

This is an Act to provide among other things, for the vesting of the title of all land within the 100 metres limit of the 1967 shore line and all land reclaimed near the lagoon, sea or ocean in or bordering Nigeria exclusively in the Federal Government of Nigeria. It declares all the lands within 100 metres limit of the 1967 shoreline of Nigeria and any other land reclaimed from any lagoon, sea or ocean in or bordering Nigeria or of oceans bordering the Federal Republic of Nigeria, to the exclusion of any right accruing to anybody corporate or unincorporated or industry, to vest in the Federal Government of Nigeria. All such lands shall be controlled and managed for and on behalf of the Federal Government of Nigeria by the Federal ministry charged with responsibility for lands and land matters or any other authority designated by that Ministry for the purposes of this act. The act also provides for the regularization by the Federal Government of leases granted by any state or local government, individual or anybody corporate or unincorporated or any agency of the state or local government, in respect of any such land.

The Economic Sustainability Plan is designed to mitigate the effects of a deep recession, while ensuring social stability and addressing long-standing economic vulnerabilities as envisaged in the Economic Recovery and Growth Plan (ERGP).

This Act repeals the Companies and Alied Matters Act, 1990, laws of the federation of Nigeria, 2004 and enacts the Companies and Allied Matters Act, 2020 to provide for the incorporation of companies, limited liability partnerships, limited partnerships, registration of business names together with incorporation of trustees of certain communities, bodies association. It’s primary objective is to improve Nigeria’s ease of doing business.

This is an interim guideline developed by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control to guide health workers in response to cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria. The guidelines include guidance on identifying and reporting suspect COVID-19 cases; diagnosing COVID-19; clinical management of COVID-19 cases; managing complications in patients with COVID-19; and discharge criteria for patients.

The Order defines the concept of “Significant Economic Presence” as it relates to the taxation of non-resident companies under the Companies Income Tax Act (CITA) as amended by the Finance Act, 2019.

This is an executive order that makes provision for the set-up of a Voluntary Offshore Assets Regularization Scheme in Switzerland (hereinafter referred to as “the Scheme”) for all categories of taxpayers who have defaulted in declaration of their offshore assets, payment of taxes due and collectible subject to the fulfillment of the terms and conditions as may be stipulated in this Order and other subsequent complementary regulations.

The Voluntary Offshore Assets Regularisation Scheme Amendments 2019 (the Amendment Order) is an executive order amending the Executive Order 008 of 2018 on the Voluntary Offshore Assets Regularisation.

This Presidential Executive Order establishes a scheme to be known as “the Road Infrastructure Development and Refurbishment Investment Tax Credit Scheme” (hereinafter referred to as “the Scheme”).The primary objective of the Scheme is to enhance road infrastructure development for balanced economic growth in Nigeria and refurbish roadsin Nigeria in exchange for tax credits.

This is a Presidential Executive Order which extends to the execution and maintenance of the constitution to abolish all corrupt practices and abuse of power.

This order recognises the vital role of science, technology and innovation in national economic development. Therefore, it aims to harness domestic talents and develop indigenous capacity in science and engineering for the promotion of technological innovation needed to drive national competitiveness, productivity and economic activities which will invariably enhance the achievement of the nation’s development goals across all sectors of the economy.

This Executive Order permits Federal Ministry of Finance to set up a Voluntary Assets and Income Declaration Scheme (hereinafter referred to as “the Scheme”) for all categories of taxpayers who have defaulted in payment of taxes due and collectible subject to the fulfillment of the terms and conditions that are stipulated in this Order and other subsequent complementary regulations. The scheme encourages and provides an opportunity for eligible taxpayers to: regularize their tax status for all the relevant years; pay all outstanding taxes; prevent and stop tax evasion; and ensure full tax compliance.

This is an act to regulate the importation of live fish; and for purposes connected therewith. It provides for the control of import of live freshwater fish. It emphasizes that no person shall import any live fish into Nigeria except in accordance with the terms of a licence under this act granted to him or her by the Minister, or in transit under prescribed conditions. A licence may be granted either unconditionally or subject to such conditions (including conditions relating to the fish when dead) as the Minister considers expedient for the purpose of avoiding the incidence or spread of disease or parasitic states among live fish in waters from which he considers that fish may be caught for consumption in Nigeria.

This is an act to provide for the establishment of the Lagos Port Operations Committee to supervise and co-ordinate all operations at Lagos port. It provides for the establishment of the Lagos Port Operations Committee, which shall coordinate all operations at Lagos port. There shall be a port manager who shall be responsible for the discharge of the functions of the committee and the transaction of its day-to-day business.

This is an act to establish The Maritime Operations Co-Coordinating Board to formulate policies for the effective control of all maritime operations in Nigeria’s territorial waters and the exclusive economic zone. It establishes the Maritime Operations Co-Coordinating Board, defines its functions, and provides with respect to its administration. The board shall formulate policies, including maritime policy, for the control of all maritime operations in Nigeria’s territorial waters and exclusive economic zone in order to co-ordinate existing policies regulating activities of agencies performing functions relating to maritime operations; enforce its policies through its member agencies and ascribe appropriate sanctions on any agency found to be defaulting in the performance of the roles ascribed to it by The Board.
