This guidance document was developed to guide engagement with the private sector medical laboratories to help accelerate the availability of COVID-19 diagnostic testing for the duration of the public health emergency.

This is a bill for an Act to authorize the issue from the Federal Capital Territory Administrative Statutory Fund of the Federal Capital Territory administration account, the total sum of N271,532,518,887 only, of which the sum of N56,194,171,520 only is for personnel costs and the sum of N57,517,045,738 only, is for overhead costs whilst the balance of N157,821,301,429 only, is for capital projects for the service of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, For the financial year commencing from 1st January and ending on 31st December, 2018.

This Act makes comprehensive provisions for penalizing the acts of torture and other cruel, human and degrading treatment or punishment, and prescribes penalties for the commission of such acts. According to the document, torture is deemed committed when an act by which pain or suffering, whether physical or mental is intentionally inflicted on a person to obtain information, intimidate or coerce him/her based of discrimination of any kind.

This Act is designed to increase the general appellate jurisdiction or the customary court or appeal to confer exclusive original jurisdiction on dispute on or arising from chieftaincy matters in the Federal Capital Territory Abuja on the court.

This Act amends the Court of Appeal Act No.15, 2005 by increasing the number of justices of the Court of Appeal from seventy to ninety.

This Act establishes the Chartered Institute of Certified Secretaries and Reporters of Nigeria as a statutory body responsible for regulating the practice of the profession of chartered secretaries and reporters. It lays down conditions for the registration of members of the institute, sets up disciplinary committee and an investigating panel to uphold the ethics of the profession; prescribes penalties for any contravention of its provisions and provides for a governing board which is responsible for policy formulation and implementation. This Act further provides for the appointment of a registrar and assistant registrar for the day-to-day running of the institute.

This Act repeals the Evidence Act, Cap. E14, Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, and enacts a new Evidence Act, 2011 which applies to all judicial proceedings in or before Courts in Nigeria.

This Act repeals the Workmen’s Compensation Act Cap. W6 Laws of the
Federation of Nigeria, 2004 and makes comprehensive provisions for payment of compensation to employees who suffer from occupational diseases or sustain injuries arising from accident at workplace or in the course of employment.

This is an Act to establish the Defence Space Administration, develop satellite technology, ensure security of the nation’s cyber activities. Its objectives are to facilitate and implement the defence and security aspect of the national space policy, to provide resilient and affordable space and cyberspace capabilities for the Nigerian military, other security and law enforcement agencies.

This Act amends the Niger Delta Development Commission (establishment, etc.) Act, No 6, 2000 to increase the funding of the Commission for effective discharge of its duties. It amends section 15 of the Niger Delta Development Commission Act No 6, 2000.

Among other things, the institute shall provide national leadership in cancer research, control and treatment, guide scientific improvements to cancer prevention, treatment and care, coordinate and liaise between the wide range of groups and health care providers with an interest in cancer.
