The act provides for the management and preservation of the national biodiversities in South Africa. The act will operate within the framework of the national environmental management act of 1998. Among others, it guides the protection of endangered species and ecosystems, the sustainable use of resources, and the fair sharing of benefits accruable from indigenous biological resources. It also provides for the establishment of a national biodiversity institute.

An amendment to the expropriation act of 1975 that refines certain sections and expressions. It also grants expropriation powers to ministers responsible for land and works affairs.

This represents Act No. 895 of 2012, which is subject to the marketing of agricultural products act of 1996. The statutory measure compels importers, exporters, packers, and processors (not excluding people who act in their capacities) of dried fruits to keep records and report returns to the Dried Fruit Technical Services (DFTS). It seeks to ensure availability of market information to all stakeholders.

The act amends the veterinary and para-veterinary professions act of 1982. Among other provisions, it chiefly addresses issues related to the practices, registration, conduct, discipline, and continuous development of veterinary and para-veterinary professions. The act also establishes an appeal committee and states its functions, as it relates to investigation of complaints.

This serves as an amendment to the restitution of land rights act of 1994. It aligns the provisions of the act with the constitution of South Africa. For clarity, it spells out and substitutes certain definitions, to ensure textual improvements.

The act amends the forest amedment act of 1968. It further regulates the allocation of lands as nature reserves, protection forests, and wilderness areas. Also regulated by the acts are: clearing of firebelts, and prevention of fire spread.

An amendment to the rules guiding the practise of veterinary professions in South Africa. Specifically, amendments relate to the risks associated with administration of medicine to animals; and prescription, sale, and donation of substances and drugs.

This represents Act No. 787 of 2011, which is subject to the marketing of agricultural products act of 1996. The statutory measure applies to peaches and nectarines destined for export, import, or domestic fresh consumption. It seeks to ensure availability of market information to all stakeholders in the industry. The measure will be administered and implemented by HORTGRO services, a company established in terms with the companies act, and operates within the purview of the Dried Fruit Technical Services (DFTS).

These regulations are premised on the foodstuffs, cosmetics, and disinfectants act of 1972. Powers of inspectors include inspection, sampling, seizure and detention of food. The regulations guide inspectors and analysts as they carry out their duties.

As it relates to the COVID-19 pandemic, the measures moves to ensure fair processes of waste management services during the lockdown period.

The regulations are subject to the biodiversity act of 2004. They provide rules for bioprospecting and the commercialization of indigenous biological resources, regulate the permit system, regulate the exportation of indigenous biological resources for other research purposes, provide for appeal against decisions taken by relevant authorities, define offences, and spell out penalties for such offences.

On the basis of the animal diseases act of 1964, the minister imposes tariffs for the issue of permits for the importation of animals and animal products. It is clearly stated that tariffs shall be payable by people who import or contemplate importing animals and animal products into the South Africa.

The regulations are subject to the fertilizers, farm needs, agricultural remedies, and stock remedies act of 1947. The amendment takes the form of additions, substitutions, and definitions regarding animal feed registration, labelling of animal feed, and analysis, among others.

The amendment deletes names of local authorities in annexure C of the original document.

The regulations contain guidelines for issuing and usage of ID cards by environmental management inspectors, as well as contents of ID cards.

The proclamation transfers the administration, powers, and functions entrusted to the minister responsible for agriculture by the land and agricultural development bank act, 2002 to the minister of finance.

The act regulates the powers of municipality to impose rates and levies on properties, to exclude properties from ratings, and to make provisions for fair and equitable valuation of properties, among others.

These Regulations impose a levy on day-old female parent broiler chickens and eggs for purposes of funding: efforts to enhance empowerment and development of black emerging poultry producers; consumer protection measures; and research and development.

This serves as an amendment of list of activities and competent authorities identified in Terms of sections 24(2) and 24d of the national environmental management act of 1998. This is to ensure clarity about activities that should undergo relevant assessment processes.

The regulations are made in terms of the foodstuffs, cosmetics, and disinfectants act of 1972. They do not apply to veterinary medicines or stock remedies where public health concerns might arise from usage.
