The regulations are subject to the foodstuffs, cosmetics, and disinfectants act of 1972. It stipulates limitations related to the use of processed foodstuffs for human consumption.

The strategic framework sets out a comprehensive approach for the provision of water services in South Africa, as it relates to small community water supply and
sanitation schemes in remote rural areas, and to large regional schemes supplying water and wastewater services to people and industries in the largest urban areas. It enshrines sustainability guidelines, health education, economic development and sustainable livelihoods, institutional reform, water boards, and the private sector.

The statutory measure applies to cotton. It pushes to compel market players of cotton to keep records and report returns to Cotton South Africa. It sees this as a means to ensure availability of information to all players in the industry, to enable them make informed decisions. The measure lists out the records and returns to be kept and submitted. Cotton South Africa is appointed as an administrator of the statutory measure, and will provide monthly macro generic market information to the cotton industry and interested parties.

This represents a broad outline of the rules of the national council of societies for the prevention of cruelty to animals; in terms of the societies for the prevention of cruelty to animals act of 1993. The rules refer to purposes of: clarification, uniformity and recognition, public funds and funding, national uniformity, standards, animal welfare and husbandry, and guidelines.

The Uthukela marine protected area contains two inshore restricted zones, two inshore controlled zones, one offshore controlled-pelagic linefish zone, three offshore controlled zones, and one offshore restricted zones; which are all determined using the World Geodetic System (WGS) of 1984. The regulations stipulate that no scientific research within the protected area shall be carried out except with a research permit issued by the Minister. It lists out the general restrictions within the protected area.

The regulations are relevant to the disaster management act of 2002, and the declaration of national disaster published in the government gazette on March 2020. The regulations amend the national disaster publication; it inserts chapter-specific definitions for clarity of context. It addresses issues related to the conduct and options of COVID-19 confirmed and suspected persons, restrictions on movements of goods and persons during lockdown, prohibition of public transport, and resources by the state during lockdown.

The notice publishes the list of all protected trees belonging to particular species specified in the schedules. It further states that: no person may cut, disturb, damage or destroy any protected tree or possess, collect, remove, transport, export, purchase, sell, or donate any protected tree specie or products derived from it except as approved by an authority.

The notice declares the Uthukela marine protected area under Section 22a of the national environmental management: protected areas act of 2003 marine living resources act of 1998. The boundaries of the marine protected areas are specified.

The regulations operate under the mining titles registration regulations of 1967. Provisions are made for matters relative to procedures of the registration of mining titles; powers of attorney, documentation, certified surveyor plans, mortgage bonds, fees and forms.

The notice contains statutory measures for registration, records and returns, research levy, information and transformation levy, and export levy. It pushes to compel stakeholders and role players in the wine industry to register, furnish records and returns, and pay stipulated levies with the stated relevant administrators. It sees the process as a means to ensure availability of information to all players in the industry, to enable them make informed decisions. The measure lists out the parties mandated to register, provide records, and pay levies; with the associated procedures.

The entire Browns Bank Corals marine protected area is zoned as a controlled zone with three offshore areas which are all determined using the World Geodetic System (WGS) of 1984. It lists out the general restrictions within the protected area.

The amended regulations operate under the plant breeders’ rights act of 1976. The table detailing fees payable with respect to plant breeders’ rights is substituted.

The regulations provide for the procedure to be followed and criteria to be considered in the determination of a fine pursuant to an application submitted in terms of section 24g of the national environmental management act of 1998. It empowers competent authorities to establish fine committees to consider applications.

The contains alterations to the sectional titles act of 1986 in relation to unregistered sectional plan, and sectional title file, among others.

The notice amends the control measures of the agricultural pests act. It substitutes table 10 of the control measures with a fees payable table.

The norms and standards is a review of the international and national norms and standards for water and sanitation services. It seeks to address the inadvertent exclusion of rural areas in the implementation of water services and backlogs. The parts of the policy document focus on; water components of water services, sanitation and waste water components of water services, summary of monitoring and reporting responsibilities, and a proposed plan of action for the implementation of norms and standards.

The standards specified in the schedules of the notice pushes to ensure sustainable development within the Gauteng province, compliance to management measures and the principles of the national environmental management act of 1998. The provisions of the standard applies to activities excluded from acquiring an environmental authorisation, when undertaken within Zone 1 or Zone 5 of the Gauteng Province.

The purpose of the management standards is to set national norms to guide the management of elephants in ways that ensure their longevity in ethical and humane means, with the sustainable utilization of their products. The norms and standards also sets out a uniform way of management across the Republic, in line with international standards, agreements, and obligations.

The notice represents the South African Council for the property valuers profession’s second amendment under the property valuers profession act of 2000.

The amendment relates to availability of the executive officer for inspections, and ways of obtaining permits.
