This strategy, guided by the constitution of Kenya, vision 2030, and Agriculture Sector Development Strategy explores information regarding youth participation in agriculture, situational analysis of youth participation and the strategies to encourage youth participation in agriculture.

In recent years, climate patterns have had a detrimental impact on Kenya’s agricultural sector especially affecting food quality and circulation. This framework was developed to implement climate smart agriculture at both national and county government for climate resilience, sustainability and national development in accordance with the Kenya’s vision 2030.

This framework provides the necessary strategies to achieve the goal of ensuring that all Kenyans have access to safe food in sufficient quantity and quality to satisfy their nutritional needs for optimal health. The framework was developed through a participatory and consultative process steered by a multi-disciplinary committee from all relevant government ministries aligned with National Food and Nutrition Security Policy to improve the national nutrition of the country.

Its focus is to make agriculture profitable by ensuring that there is an increase in the productivity, commercialization and competitiveness of agricultural output in the country.
