This parliamentary Act provides for election offences and for connected purposes. it covers offences relating to register of voters, offences relating to multiple registration as a voter, offences relating to voting, offences by members and staff of the commission personation, bribery, undue influence, use of force or violence during election period, use of national security organs, offences relating to elections, use of public resources, participation in elections by public officers, unlawful expenditure, offences relating to the use of technology in elections employers to allow employees reasonable period for voting, breach of electoral code of conduct etc.

Regulation 3 of the principal regulations is amended by deleting the marginal note and substituting for constituency returning officers and other staff i.e. deleting the words “returning officer” and substituting the words with “ constituency returning officer”, deleting the words “returning officer” appearing in the opening statement and substituting it with “constituency returning officer”.

It defines an affordable housing scheme as social housing designated for monthly income earners earning up to 19,999 shillings, low cost housing designated for monthly income earners earning between 20,000 to 49,999 shillings, and mortgage gap housing designated for monthly income earners earning between 50, 000 to 149, 999 shillings.

The objectives of this scheme are to provide housing loan facilities to civil servants for the purpose of either purchasing or contracting a residential house, to develop housing units for sale or rental by civil servants and raise fund for these objectives.

The abbreviated resettlement action plan was designed to achieve the following objectives: to guide compensation against displacement in line with laws, regulations and guidelines for resettlement/land acquisition policy framework of the government of Kenya and the world bank; to identify and quantify different categories of project –affected – people [PAPS] who would require some form of assistance, compensation, rehabilitation or relocation; and to provide guidelines to stakeholders participating in the mitigation of adverse social impacts of the project.

Emphasis is laid on full resettlement of PAPs and addressing their grievances before actual project commencement. The report includes a schedule for implementation of activities and estimates a time period of 1 year for completion of the entire process. Prompt and fair compensation/ resettlement assistance and clear sources of funding will be in place to ensure timely implementation of the proposed project.

This amends the civil servant (housing scheme fund) regulation, 2004

These regulations established a fund to be known as the civil service housing scheme fund to provide housing loan facilities to civil servants for the purposes of either purchasing or constructing residential house.

These regulations establishes a fund known as the state officicers house martgage scheme fund to provide loan scheme for the purchase or development of property by the state officers.

The sessional paper no. 3 of 2016 on national housing policy addresses key issues relating to delivery of housing in this country and takes into consideration article 43(1) (b) of the constitution, which guarantees every person in kenya the right to accessible and adequate housing and to reasonable standards of sanitation while the state shall undertake legislative, policy and other measures including the setting of standards, to achieve the progressive realization of the right to accessible and adequate housing. The design recommends a multi-level building to house the directly affected traders and temporary structures will be provided outside the market site. A critical analysis was conducted to take care of all concerns raised such as design of the stalls, the layout of the building as well as the consideration for horizontal and vertical accommodation of the vendors. An Act of parliament to establish the Kenya national commission for unesco and for connected purposes. This document establishes a commission to be known as the kenya national commission for UNESCO to ensure permanent presence of UNESCO in Kenya and provide expert advisory service to the government in education, science, culture, and communication and information.

This document defines election technology as a system that includes a biometric voter registration system, a biometric voter identification system, a system that enables the nomination and registration of candidates and electronic results transmission system. An Act of parliament to provide for the procedure and ceremony for the assumption of the office of president by the president-elect, in accordance with article 141 of the constitution and for connected purposes. It provides guidance for the establishment and administration of the assumption of the office of president committee. The functions and powers of the committee shall be to facilitate the handing over process by the outgoing president to the president-elect, organise for the security of the president-elect etc.
