It prohibit the removal of firewood, any natural resource or veld product from the Council area for any purpose without obtaining permit. This bye-law provide for the application and granting of permit.

This bye-law amended section 8 of the bye-law

Botswana seek to achieve reduction in greenhouse gases (GHGs) emissions by 15% before 2030. the reduction will be achieved through starategies and measures. The strategy involve development of a long term low carbon strategy, a national adaptation, plan, nationally appropriate mitigation actions, identification of technologies, plan for knowledge management capacity development, education and public awareness and a financial mechanism. The proposed emission reduction path will be subjected to legislative review and endorsement by Parliament.
