The first National Home-Based Care Guidelines (HBC) were developed, aiming at providing guidance to managers, health care providers and Home-Based Care providers in the community. This version has different sections. They include; Introduction to homebased care services, Home Based Care services, Palliative care and chronic disease management, Home Based Care and the continuum of care, roles and responsibilities of different actors, special issues, recording and reporting systems, and referrals system.
