This Act makes provision for the establishment and functions of National Plant Protection Organization. The organization shall perfrom the following function among other; implementation of the IPPC and the international standards for phytosanitary, issuing of phytosanitary certificates and import certificate, carrying out pre-clearance certificate among others. The minister have the power to appoint a plant inspector who will be responsible for inspecting plants, plants produce orother regukated articles under cultivation, and attend to such other matters as the NPPO may prescribe.
