The vision to ensure citizens of Ethiopia have equitable access to affordable, safe, and quality healthcare services is one of the most important goals enshrined in the 5 year health sector transformation plan (HSTP) of the ministry of health. This multi structured HSTQ seeks to ensure the implementation of the objectives contained in the HSTP runs smoothly and is sustained, in line with government’s ultimate drive to ensure universal quality health coverage in Ethiopia.

The import and export atmosphere in Ethiopia has been made complex due to the presence of many rules. The situation is worsened by the uncoordinated nature of these rules and lack of awareness among the stakeholders involved in Ethiopia’s trade sector. This guide is therefore targeted at importers and exporters to raise awareness levels on the customs procedures guiding international trade in Ethiopia. “This is in line with the commitment of the Ethiopian Revenues and Customs Authority (ERCA), the government agency responsible for administering customs in Ethiopia, to ensure transparent, reliable and predictable customs services.”

This 2008 proclamation, numbered 571, acknowledges the increasing usage of radiation to meet some of the developmental targets of the country. It also recognises the inherent risk associated with this usage as it relates to human health, environment and properties. This proclamation therefore pursues establishment of a radiation regulation authority and definition of the legal responsibilities of all stakeholders involved in radiation usage.

It also points to the inherent risk associated with this usage as it relates to human health, environment and properties. This proclamation pushes towards strengthening radiation protection and regulatory systems, and supervising radiation activities, to ensure damage to health, environment and properties are minimised.

The Social Protection Policy provides a framework for the government to invest in certain sectors of the economy. It places significant emphasis on improving the lifestyle of poor citizens.

This policy contains detailed approaches charged towards agricultural waste reduction, fostering effective linkage between agriculture and the industry, and development of the agro-industrial sector.

This policy is driven by the need for adequate security and foreign relations to push the growth and development of the country. It contains strategies to aid adequate internal security, re-orientation of the populace as well as effective foreign relations.

This second instalment of the Growth and Transformation Plan intends to build on the achievement of GTP I. It hopes to improve on shortcomings and achieve the country’s long term vision of attaining a middle income economy.

This shows incentive packages offered by the Government of Ethiopia. These incentives have been put in place to attract foreign direct investments with regards to industrial parks.

This industrial roadmap document contains an overview of the industrial sector. It offers strategies and frameworks needed to move the industrial sector forward in line with the GTP goals of 2035.

This strategic plan contains processes to ensure successful implementation of the Industrial Development Institutional Setup of Ethiopia’s industrial sector with an ultimate aim of attaining middle income status.

This adaptation plan seeks to build on the green economy strategy and the GTP II frameworks. It focuses on developing a resilient and sustainable green economy by prioritising selected vulnerable sectors of the economy.

This marks the second phase of the poverty reduction strategy program (PRSP). It maps out the direction the country wishes to explore in its drive to attain food security, eradicate poverty, and achieve the millennium development goals (MDGs).

In line with its aim of attaining food security, this highlights the management strategies explored to combat postharvest losses in Ethiopia. It is geared towards improving efficiency at all levels of the agricultural value chain.

This policy highlights the key facilitators of an effective public-private partnership. This ranges from proclamations and regulations, to effective institutional bodies, with the ultimate aim of meeting demands of the people and driving the achievement of the country’s long-term goals.

This policy aims to compliment and build on the already existing policies of the government geared at job creation. It has an overriding objective of mobilizing the rural population and creating decent job opportunities across all sectors. The policy also seeks to motivate and encourage job seekers to embrace entrepreneurship as a tool for job creation.
