A proclamation to amend the investment re-enactment proclamation No. 280 of 2002

This regulation is issued by the council of ministers pursuant to Article 5 of the definition of powers and duties of the executive organs of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia proclamation no. 691 and Article 39 of the investment proclamation no. 769

The creation of industrial parks ranks high among the avenues the government hopes to leverage on to drive socio-economic development in the country. The government intends to attract significant domestic and foreign direct investments with the creation of these industrial parks. This proclamation contains the legislation, operational management and regulation of industrial parks.

These regulations place restriction on foreign sales agents. It emphasizes that a non-Ghanaian or alien enterprise shall not carry on business as an agent for the sale or promotion of the sale of any product or group of products of any principal not resident in Ghana unless such non-Ghanaian or alien enterprise is licensed by the minister for economic plannig in accordance with the regulations. It also issues restriction on use of taxis and commercial vehicles and provides regulations for application for licences for non-ghanain business.
