An Act to continue the existence of the Engineering Institution of Zambia. It provides for the registration of engineering professionals, engineering units and engineering organisations and regulate their professional conduct; repeals the Engineering Institution of Zambia Act, 1992; and provides for related matters.

An Act to regulate the provision of accessible, equitable and qualitative education and to provide for the establishment, regulation, organization, governance, management and funding of educational institutions. An Act to provide for the establishment of the Higher Education Authority and define its functions and powers. It provides for quality assurance and quality promotion in higher education and provides for the establishment, governance and the regulation of public higher education institutions. It also provides for the registration and regulation of private higher education institutions; repeals and replaces the University Act, 1999.

An Act to establish the Higher Education Loans and Scholarships Board; establish the Higher Education Loans and Scholarships Fund; provide for the granting, administration, investment, payment and recovery of loans; provide for the administration and granting of scholarships; facilitate the mobilisation of financial resources for loans and scholarships, and provide for related matters.

This plan includes valuable strategic pointers for ensuring that government’s substantial, yet limited, resources are used effectively to accomplish South Africa’s education mission. The emphasis in this Plan of Action is on ensuring that the poorest 40% of learners in South Africa continue to experience improvements in the quality of the schooling they receive, and that all barriers to access, such as distance, school fees, or some other barrier, are removed by 2006.

The policy stipulated in this document applies to public ordinary and special schools and those independent schools that offer the National Curriculum Statement Grades R – 12, which comprise; Curriculum and Assessment Policy Statements for all approved subjects listed in this document; National policy pertaining to the programme and promotion requirements of the National Curriculum Statement Grades R – 12; and National Protocol for Assessment Grades R – 12.

These regulations apply to all school. The main objective is to provide minimum uniform norms and standards for public school infrastructure.

The purpose of this policy is to promote punctual and regular attendance at public schols and provide public schools and provincial education departments (PEDs) with standard procedures for recording, managing and monitoring learner attendance.

The purpose of this policy is to provide a framework to all provincial departments of education and governing bodies of public schools for developing the admission policy of the school. The document details the age requirement for admission to ordinary public schools, which applies uniformly in all provincial departments of education and ordinary public schools.

This policy has an overall objective to determine the total project expenditure per school and the value of assets transferred to custodians. This Act is designed to amend the National Policy Act, 1996, the South African Schools Act, 1996, the Employment of Educators Act, 1998, the South African Council for Educators Act, 2000and the General and Further Education and Training Quality Assurance Act, 2001, so as to amend certain definitions and to provide for related matters.

It responds to the need for a standardised response to allegations by learners and school staff of incidents of sexual abuse and harassment, whether they are perpetrated by learners, educators or by other persons and covers anyone employed at a South African school.

This policy presents a new vision for the sector, to drive the response on HIV, Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) as well as tuberculosis. It presents the sector’s contribution towards the National Strategic Plan on HIV, STIs and TB for South Africa, 2017-2022 (the NSP). The policy document replaces the 1999 Department of Education National Policy on HIV/AIDS for learners and educators in public schools and students and educators in further education and training institutions.

The document provides details o the Education Labour Relations Council. The council aims to maintain and promote labour peace in education; to prevent and resolve labour disputes in education; to conclude and enforce collective agreements; and to consider and deal with other matters that may affect the interest of the parties.
